My Bucket List

Before, I didn’t even know what is the freaking meaning of a ‘bucket list’ until I watched a Korean TV series about a dying woman who listed everything she wanted to do. Then she called it a bucket list. ย Anyway, I want you to know that I’m not dying or anything. I just want to have my own list of places that I wanted to visit before I die and have some of the readers to know the places I will be visiting or to come with me to travel to this places.

I know that anyone of us have things or places we wanted to have or go before the end of the world, Ain’t I’m right? 2012 is here so better yet slash some of the things in my wishlist–harhar!

Anyway, these are the places I wannaย  visit, the PLACES I WANNA GO BEFORE I DIE –> MY OWN BUCKET LIST

In the Philippines

  1. BORACAY–> yeah, I’ve never been to Boracay since every single time I ask my mom to go there, she will always say “Wag na, pangit dun, super crowded na (No, it is ugly and it is already super crowded). Anyway, I WAS not really a beach goer before because Filipinos wants to be white or fair skinned so they can be classified as PRETTY. I WAS one of those people who think that way, But anyway, I gave that idea up decades ago! Which also explains the vast number of beaches listed here.

Last April 24-27, 2012 I was in Boracay partying, swimming and having fun! I wanna be back in this place! ๐Ÿ™‚ But anyway, it’s ticked off from my bucket list! ๐Ÿ™‚ Congratulate me everyone!!

I’m back in Boracay with friends this April 29-May 4, 2013 and It was really fun. My last visit made me think that Boracay is where great parties are!

  1. CEBU –> hmmm, I didn’t know that this place has its own share of beauty, especially their beaches. I wanna visit its pristine beaches and have a look to this beautiful city in Visayas
  2. BOHOL –> alright, I haven’t seen those wide-eyed tarsiers which are really cute that even Prince William wanted to keep it as a pet. Anyway, I learned that they are very suicidal! They commit suicide by not breathing or bumping their head n the tree or letting themselves fall from the branch! Why the heck they do that? Inyway, I wanna see those “emo”, crazy yet cute animals!
  3. DAVAO –> I almost went here last 2007, as project for a subject during my College days, but I declined since it was very expensive (that’s why I’m blaming myself until today; I really hated myself for saving money that time and having to go to the shopping mall the next week! I should have been there!)
  4. ILOCOS NORTE–> of course, I wanna see Pagudpud because of its pristine white sand beach, and also those giant windmills in Bangui. I wanna see those windmills not only because they are picture perfect amidst the background of the beach but because I’ve never seen a windmill in my life, I only repeatedly saw a lot of irrigation and irrigation canals (in rice farms in Albay). I also want to go to the Marcos’ museum there!
  5. ILOCOS SUR–> Well, it is obvious, that I wanna see the Heritage Site there and to eat a lot of empanada*yum!
  6. PUERTO PRINCESA, PALAWAN –> who doesn’t want to see the beautiful underground river which is part of the new 7 wonders of nature?ย ย Last April 18-21, 2012, I was here! It was wonderful!!! Now, another one ticked off from my list
  7. EL NIDO, PALAWAN OR CORON, PALAWAN –> either of the two is okay!
  8. TRINOMA MALL–> I’ve been living here in Manila for almost 5 years but I have never been to this Mall, maybe you will say that there is nothing special about it, but I can say, you can always make something there that will make you feel special!ย  Okay, so I didn’t write about this, but I’ve been here last February 19, 2012. It’s nothing fancy just another mall… and actually it’s an old one! hahaha!
  9. SUBIC BEACH, MATNOG, SORSOGON–> This is one of the rare pink beaches in the World! I wanna go there soon!

ABROAD–> this is by countries

  1. JAPAN –> Oh, God! I really wanna go here! I want to see Tokyo and Mt. Fuji (which looks like Mayon Volcano with snow on top). But any place in Japan such as Osaka is fine for me. Just please let me leave my footprint there!ย Been here last May 2013. Been to Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo. ๐Ÿ˜€ Haven’t seen Mt. Fuji though.
  2. SOUTH KOREA –> Yes, South Korea not North! even I’ve been here, I wanna go back! I wanted to see Jeju Island and Nami Island! ๐Ÿ™‚ so this is partially slashed from my bucket list
  3. EUROPE –> All countries included in the Schengen visa! I wanna go there! *puppy eyes, drool…
  4. CANADA –> Niagara Falls
  5. EGYPT –> the great pyramids!
  6. SIAM REAP, CAMBODIA –> The Angkor Wat!ย ย ย Everyone! I’ve been to Siam Reap and Phnom Penh Cambodia last January 8-15, 2013 and I had lots of fun! Gonna update this blog more often! Congratulate me people!
  7. THAILAND –> I love the beach, the history and the cityย  Okay, so it should be partly off my list, I love the shopping in Bangkok, it rocks!!! I was here last May 15-18, 2012
  8. INDONESIA –> Bali and Yogyakarta!! I really wanna see those centuries old temples
  9. THE HOLY LAND — Maybe I’ll go here together with Egypt.. I really hope that money falls from heaven ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
  10. NEW ZEALAND — QUEENSLAND— It’s told to be the adrenaline center of the world.. hmm.. my knees are shaking by the word “adrenaline” thanks CazBag for the heads up! ๐Ÿ™‚
  11. BRAZIL– such a wonderful and colorful place!
  12. ANY PLACES IN THE WORLD–WHERE YANNAH THE WANDERER CAN SIGHTSEE ๐Ÿ™‚

THINGS I WANNA TRY

  • ย Cliff diving (at least 15 m high or lower???) ย ย  I did this in Boracay’s Ariel’s Point last April 23, 2012. It was one hell of an experience. I wasn’t able to jump the 15m but I will next time! ๐Ÿ™‚
  • Paragliding
  • Wakeboardingย  (I’ve done this in Camarines Sur Water Complex, I’ll blog it after my Macau series)
  • Bungee Jumping (ooohh.. I hope I can do this… in Macau? Nah.. I’ll try it in a river or ocean so that there’s more chance of surviving ๐Ÿ™‚ )
  • Zip lining—Yeah, I’ve never tried (blame my fear of heights!) ย ย  I’ve Finally conquered my fear, and went zip lining the first time in Misibis Bay, Bacacay Albay last September 10, 2012. It was 550m long and it was really freaky because you are actually traversing a “bangin” cliff!!! waahh!ย
  • Snorkeling and swimming with the fish!ย ย I’ve done this during my Caramoan Escapade last September 2011 and done this again during my visit in Puerto Princesa’s Honda Bay April 20, 2012 and again in Misibis Bay last September 10, 2012
  • Helmet diving or Reef Walking
  • Rappelling
  • Shotover Jet in Queensland (I just love the view and the amazing ride!!)

Can you suggest other things to do? or places to visit? I’m open for your suggestions… just leave a comment below ๐Ÿ™‚

HAPPY WANDERING!

  1. Hi Yannah! You got a great list here. I’ve been to some of these destinations already and I encourage you to go. I’m from Pagudpud, by the way, so if you plan on going up north, let me know so I can give you tips. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Wow! Really? That’s great! I really wanna visit all those places in my bucket list SOON!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, I really wanna go to Pagudpud! I’m addicted to beach and sand… (now, I’m imagining myself rolling in its fine white sand)… anyhow… I’m scheduled to go this April to Laoag but our flights in Zest Air was canceled… but, there’s no stopping us to go to this wonderful place… we are going to take the bus! ๐Ÿ™‚ or wait for another airline sale.. hehe.. I will need a lot of tips! thanks for offering!

And if you ever plan to go to Albay… I can also give you a lot of tips ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m from Albay but I’m currently staying in Manila…

  2. Yes, great list! It’s inspired me to write my own! Also thanks for your comment… have you considered maybe applying for an airline? I also try to be a photographer but it doesn’t always work out lol.. I bought a nice Canon (point and shoot) and then it got damaged in the ocean. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Keep traveling!

    1. Thank you Jessy! I haven’t tried applying for an airline but I think I won’t pass because of my height ๐Ÿ˜ฆ although I wanna try but nowadays, I’m still busy with my studies ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Oh, what happened in your camera? Did it fall in the sea??? waah, I remember my blackberry diving into the ocean ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

And regarding photography–we are the same--doesn’t really work out! LOL ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. WOW! Thanks for your suggestion! I’ll definitely try the shotover jet, the view is just amazing and the ride seems spectacular! And wow, I will definitely visit Queenstown! especially since it’s the adrenaline center of the world! Let me add this in my Bucket List! Thank you very much! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. You have a very ambitious list! I hope you get to most of the places you’ve listed or all of them! I’ve been to some you listed, Thailand, Egypt, Israel and was glad to see them on your list. There may have been more I’m not sure. I didn’t see any in S. America or did I miss them? I love to travel but I’m getting up in years, 73, so I’m afraid my travels are slowing down. So keep traveling and keep sharing with us!

    1. Yeah, it seems so ambitious and it is actually becoming much more longer ๐Ÿ™‚ In South America, I wanna go to Brazil ๐Ÿ™‚ … I saw your posts in Israel, and I really envy you.. I really wanna go there but as a budget traveler it seems too far to reach for me as of the moment, since I’m still a student and funding my trips is such a headache. However, I’ll do my best to score one airline sale for that place ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you can visit much more places, I love reading and looking at your photos.. I will try my best to keep on traveling and I will surely share it with you. Thank you for visiting my blog! God Bless! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I think you should add Yogyakarta as one of the places in Indonesia to visit ๐Ÿ™‚
The highlight of this city is Borobudur temple (I have a post about this 12-century-old temple on my blog) which is also featured in the latest season of The Amazing Race.
Good luck with your bucket list, Yannah!

  5. Reading your bucket list Hannah makes me want to have my bucket list too. I also love to travel and check on sale ticket through net. I came across your blog when i was looking for tip on traveling to Boracay. . never been there, though i’ve been planning since time ememorial in visiting this place. Hope I can do this time before year ends.

By the way, your blog its very informative, thanks!!!

  6. Awesome list! I was browsing for more information tungkol sa Palawan and Google listed you as a resource.

These are definitely some places I want to visit someday. One of my life goals, visit 5 out of the 7 continents. So far I’ve hit 3 (Asia, North America, Europe). Based on your comments at Palawan, I bet you would enjoy Banff at Alberta Canada. Canada definitely has more to offer than Niagara Falls. If you enjoy camping, hit up some National Parks in the U.S. Zion, Yosemite, etc.
